Frequently asked questions
Landscape supplies FAQ
Straight answers to the questions Brisbane customers ask most about ordering, delivery, quantities and choosing products.
Ordering and delivery
How do I order bulk landscape supplies?
Tell us the product, the quantity in cubic metres (or square metres for turf) and the delivery address using the quote form or by calling (07) 3829 0459. We confirm the price and a delivery time.
Where do you deliver?
Across Greater Brisbane, including North and South Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan City, Redlands and the Bay Islands, and the Gold Coast. See deliveries for each area.
Can I order more than one product in a delivery?
Tell us everything you need when you ask for a quote. Whether products can travel together depends on the truck and the materials, and we will tell you the best way to deliver them.
Where will the truck tip the load?
On your driveway or another firm, level spot the truck can reach safely. Loads are tipped, not placed, so allow a clear area and let us know about low wires, steep access or soft ground.
Quantities
What is a cubic metre?
A volume one metre long, wide and deep. Bulk supplies are sold loose by the cubic metre (m³). One cubic metre spread 100mm deep covers about 10m².
How do I work out how much I need?
Multiply length × width × depth in metres. A 5m × 2m bed at 0.1m deep needs 1m³. Use the volume calculator or read how much do I need.
How much turf do I need?
Measure the lawn area in square metres and add about 5% for cutting around edges. Turf is sold by the square metre.
Choosing products
Which mulch is best for Brisbane gardens?
Fine mulches such as Tea Tree hold moisture well in beds; chunkier Hardwood Chip and Cypress last longer and suit large areas. See choosing the right mulch.
Which turf is best for shade?
Sir Walter Buffalo. For full sun and heavy use choose Wintergreen; for low upkeep choose Zoysia. See best turf for Brisbane.
Which road base should I use for a driveway?
Road Base 2.3 (CBR45) suits most home driveways; 2.1 (CBR80) suits heavy vehicles. See road base grades explained.
What goes under pavers?
Compacted road base or crusher dust, then 20–30mm of bedding sand. See how to prepare a base for pavers.
Is recycled concrete as good as blue metal?
For hidden base, fill and drainage work, yes, and it usually costs less. Use blue metal for visible or concrete work. See blue metal vs recycled concrete.
