What aggregate is best for drainage?

20mm Blue Metal or 20mm Recycled Concrete are common choices for drainage trenches, behind retaining walls and under slabs, because the single-size stones leave space for water to flow.

What is crusher dust used for?

Crusher dust is the fine material left from crushing rock or concrete. It compacts firmly and is used as a base under pavers, water tanks and garden sheds.

Is recycled concrete as good as blue metal?

For base layers, drainage and fill, recycled concrete performs well and usually costs less. Blue metal is preferred where a consistent colour or a structural concrete mix is required.
