“We ordered some turf which was amazing quality and was organised on their side super fast. We needed to order more and they had it cut and dropped off within 2 days of ordering. They also have great customer service and were great to deal with. Would recommend 100%.”
Sir Walter Buffalo is the most shade-tolerant of the four varieties we supply. It suits yards that get only a few hours of direct sun a day. For full-sun yards with heavy foot traffic, Wintergreen or Zoysia are usually the better fit.
Measure the lawn area in square metres (length × width for each section) and add around 5% for cutting around edges and curves. Turf is ordered by the square metre.
Lay turf on 75–100mm of under turf soil that has been levelled and lightly compacted. A good soil base helps the roots establish quickly and keeps the lawn level as it settles. See our guide to preparing the ground for new turf.
