Do you sell retaining wall blocks or sleepers?

No. We supply the bulk materials for the wall: road base, drainage gravel, concrete blend and sand.

What gravel goes behind a retaining wall?

A free-draining gravel like 20mm blue metal or 20mm recycled concrete, usually around a slotted ag pipe. Follow your wall supplier’s or engineer’s specification.

What goes under the first row of blocks?

Usually a compacted levelling pad of road base. Some walls also need a concrete footing.

Do I need approval for a retaining wall?

Taller walls, and walls close to buildings or boundaries, may need an engineer’s design and council approval. Check with your council before you build.
